Update #29
December 30, 2025
December 30, 2025
Partners,
This well has produced a total of 9,323 MCF of natural gas and 45 barrels of oil. The zone we are in has good shut in pressure but loses that pressure quickly when we open it up. This is indicative of a potentially tight formation. We will continue to open and close the well in an attempt to clean up the zone. Sometimes these zones need a bit of time and agitation to break loose. We will continue to monitor the well to see the best course of action.
Reminder, K1s are to be done by March 31st by IRS guidelines but we typically get them done by the middle of February. They are mailed directly from our accounting firm. If you have not seen yours by Feb 15th, please let us know.

Partners,
This well has produced 9,323 mcf of natural gas and 45 barrels of oil so far. We had the well shut in and it had good shut in pressure but looses it quickly when produced. The zone (4472-4474)is acting tight. We will continue to monitor it’s progress and make adjustments as the well is very much still in its infancy and may just need time to break the zone loose. Kinder Morgan was able to get it and complete its necessary repairs on the pipeline. Statements will be slightly delayed this month due to the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving!
October 29, 2025
Partners,
This well has produced a total of 9323 mcf of gas and 45 barrels of oil. We were able to get a workover crew and rig in to perforate the well in the planned 4472-4474 interval. The zone has good shut in pressure, but the well is NOT currently online. We are waiting for downstream repairs by Kinder Morgan. Repairs are expected to be completed the first or second week of November. Once done, we will be able to put the well back online and monitor the new perforations’ production.
Also, the first round of statements should be done soon. Included is a “how-to” read page as well as contact info for further help reading the statement. Keep in mind, first revenue runs have delayed production and typically more than one month’s worth of operating expenses. Once a well is given some time to mature and produce, is when we expect the expenses and revenue to balance and become consistent.
September 26, 2025
Partners,
As of now this well has produced a total of 9023 mcf of gas and 45 barrels of oil. The interval we were in and producing from began to produce too much water to make that zone profitable. We have a rig scheduled and will be moving to the next interval at 4472-4474 to complete the well there and see what that does for production volume. We will report the changes and results once we have them.
August 27, 2025
Partners,
WE ARE ONLINE!! The well is in its infancy obviously BUT we are in the sales line and are producing. Typically we watch a well’s production in the beginning to determine how much we can actually push the well to produce without sacrificing longevity. So far, this well has produced 6182 MCF of gas and 15 barrels of oil but was only recently hung online. We will let you know of anything we see noteworthy and as we devise production plans going forward.
July 28, 2025
Partners,
The production facility is completed. Enerfin just moves more slowly than we would like in regard to their pipeline repair/replacement project. They only have a small amount of work on their side before they can give us the “go ahead” to turn it on. We anticipate that to be completed within the week with the intent to hang the well online!
June 25, 2025
Partners,
We dont have much of an update here. As we mentioned last month, we are done with our facility build to put the well into production and we have tie-in agreements done. We have been waiting on the pipeline company, Enerfin. They were repairing some sections of pipe downstream and were delayed with pipe inventory issues and delays on the supply chain side. Just last week, though, they informed us that they received their order of pipe and have been working on the pipeline all week. We are currently onsite tying into the facility and finishing laying the last 800 feet of pipe. Once done and Enerfin gives us the okay, we will turn the well on and start selling!
May 22, 2025
Partners,
We have made progress! We have come to an agreement with the neighboring operator for tie-in points and we are still waiting on Enerfin. They are currently working and repairing the line and should be finished any day now. Our production facilities are complete and ready once the line is good from Enerfin. We have a call in to them also, for an update on the pipeline work completion, but we should be close to having that done.
April 25, 2025
Partners,
Unfortunately we are still waiting on Enerfin to repair and get their gas lines ready for us to produce and sell into. We have a meeting with Enerfin scheduled next week to get more details, mostly questioning why this is taking so long to happen. Once we have those details, we will get them out to you.
March 25, 2025
Partners,
As a follow up to last month’s email, Enerfin (pipeline company) has been in frequent communication with us and they are fixing/repairing their pipeline, so as soon as they are done, we will tie into it. As we get closer to tie-in, we will advise you of the progress! We hope to be online soon!
This email address is not monitored. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your account representative in the office at the phone number below.

Partners,
The natural gas tie in line we had planned on using to put this well into production has been shut down temporarily in order to make some repairs. This is NOT on our side, but on Enerfin’s (the pipeline company). Due to this, it has slowed us down putting the well online and into sales. We believe we still have that option when the repairs are finished, but we are also talking with a neighboring operator about tying into their sales line. As soon as we can make a move, we will let you know which route we take.
Also to note, 2024 K1s have been mailed. In the case you do not see it by March 5th, please call us and let us know.
January 28, 2025
Partners,
As of the last update, we explained the well tested positively and then was shut in. We “shut in” a well while we prepare to complete facilities and tie in to gas sales pipelines in the area. When we drill a well in this area, we make sure there are some options to tie into a sales pipeline. The delay is that no natural gas purchasing company will even talk to you until you have a well drilled and proof of gas production (which we have now), but due to this, it takes a bit of time to determine which gas tie in we can and should use. The operator has been in contact with a neighboring operator to tie in with their sales line. As of last week, they told us they were putting together a tie in procedure so that we can begin producing and selling gas. This is a normal timeline and process to tie into a line. Once we have some onsite movement, we will let you know!
December 23, 2024
Partners,
We watched the formation that was flowing small amounts of oil into the wellbore, and it did NOT improve much. We moved to our target zone to perforate and immediately saw over 600psi with dry gas coming right back at us with a strong flow. The pressure increased to 1750 psi and the next day was 1775 and that is VERY VERY choked back too! We also started to see some oil in the gas. The well held in overnight but began to freeze up with the gas pressure so we shut the well in and are now getting in contact with the offset operator to get tied into sales lines. We have attached pictures showing gauges and beginning to freeze. These are all very optimistic signs.
We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

December 16, 2024
Partners,
We were able to move in and get the completion process started. We perforated the zone and had good pressure and the well started unloading into the well bore. We made a few swab runs and recovered oil in the fluid mixture. As of yesterday, the well was still pushing fluid with a small oil cut. We will continue to observe what the well does on its own over the next few days. We will keep you updated on its progress!
December 10, 2024
Partners,
We had a small FedEx delay, but we now have 100% of the funds in and unanimous vote to complete the well. In the meantime, we had the operator get on rig companies schedules and we should have a crew moving in this week to begin completion work. The crew was held up slightly on their last job due to rain on that location that prevented equipment moving. We should be good to go now and will report back as we start the completion work!
December 4, 2024
Partners,
Thank you for your timeliness in getting completion votes and funds in as that helps the actual completion work go that much more quickly. We are at an official majority vote to complete the well! We have also attached the completion plan write up from the field. We will get to work on completion as soon as possible and update you once we have all funds and a rough schedule for the work!
December 2, 2024
Partners,
This is the picture of the filtrate (bottom) and the oil that rose to the top. Many times formation tests or “FT”s can be inconclusive, but this one was very conclusive. We appreciate your haste with the completion ballot and funds! We are anxious to get this well into production

November 30, 2024
Partners!
We hope you had a great Thanksgiving! We reached total depth in the well and were able to finish the e log and core sample testing. We have seen some very encouraging things at this point and we are going to have a conference call at 11:30A Central Time Monday Dec 2nd. Please use the information below to call in. We will hear from Justin (the geologist) and he will report the drilling and testing information and make his recommendation on the well.

This call ONLY relates to the drilling and information surrounding the API Anthem JV. If you have questions regarding anything else, please call the office to get those answers and information. We look forward to the call on Monday!
November 24, 2024
Partners,
We are still drilling and currently at approximately 4700 feet. Drilling is going slowly, which is expected. During the drilling though, our mud logger (the guy who analyzes the mud/earth displaced by the drill bit when it comes to the surface) has noted some very good oil evidence. One test he does is look for fluorescence under UV light, which we have attached pictures of. In his opinion this is very good. There have been a handful of cuttings with freestanding oil and fluorescence. This is exciting but only one piece of the puzzle. We will continue to drill and then allow the operations team to conduct all their tests and logs to cross reference with each to give us the best data they can.
One thing to note is schedule….our best guess of reaching total depth could be in the next day or so. Once we reach total depth, we will circulate the well until we can get logging crews on location to run the e log. There may be some other tests we perform after the e log, including core samples and formation tests. This most likely butts up against Thanksgiving Day. While the oil industry doesn’t really ever “sleep,” it could slow down some turn times so keeping that in mind we plan on a conference call Dec 2nd or 3rd. That way we dont lose a lot of partner availability during the holiday. We should get another email out in the following days confirming the call schedule, and besides that, have a Happy Thanksgiving! Our office is closed from Mon to Fri this week to spend time with family. If you have immediate needs, reach out to your representative or leave a message at the office. We are periodically getting messages.

November 22, 2024
Partners,
We continue to drill, however, drilling has slowed considerably. Drilling almost always slows the deeper you get as the formations tend to be more “dense” or compacted. We are at approximately 4100 feet deep and will keep going!
November 21, 2024
Partners,
Just another quick update, we are drilling ahead and everything is according to plan. We just passed 3900 feet deep. We will continue to monitor and report back noteworthy findings.
November 20, 2024
Partners,
It’s still looking good, and we are still seeing gas evidence as we drill. Currently we are just past the 3400 feet mark and drilling away! We are still keeping an eye on drilling speed and time as there *might* be some Thanksgiving Holiday conflict that we will work around. We are going to go ahead and send out your completion vote ballots today. You should receive those in the next day or so. Just hang on to them. This is earlier than we normally send them, but thought it may help to get them to you now in case you are traveling. Do not fill them out, we dont do that until we have finished drilling the well.
November 19, 2024
Partners,
We continue drilling along! Currently we are at approximately 3100 feet deep. We have seen some small gas presence or kicks so far which is to be expected. These aren’t necessarily intervals capable of production, but they are good signs and we like to see them during the drilling process. While we are drilling we record where these gas kicks are and the mud logger analyzes cuttings as they come to the surface. Once we reach total depth we will run a separate e log to correlate all the information. The mud log and gas kicks we see while drilling are just one piece of data we use to determine whether a well could be commercially productive. So far we like what we are seeing and will continue drilling!
November 18, 2024
Partners,
Just a quick update….everything is going smoothly. We cemented surface casing over the weekend and were able to get back to drilling already. As of this morning we are at approximately 2500 feet deep. Mud logger is on location ready to evaluate cutting samples. As we get deeper, the drilling will slow considerably and we will update you with anything noteworthy, otherwise, it’s going as expected.
November 15, 2024
Partners,
It’s official! We are drilling!!! We began drilling later last night and currently we are at approximately 300 ft deep. Most likely we will reach a point this weekend to set surface casing and cement it. Once cured we will be back to drilling. Monday we will send out another update to let you know where we are at that point.
November 14, 2024
Partners,
We have attached some pictures to this email that show the location and the beginning of the drilling rig’s setup. The rig move was a little longer than anticipated so we have not spudded the well yet. We will continue the setup and preparation and begin drilling as soon as we can!

November 13, 2024
Partners,
The rig and parts and equipment began arriving on location yesterday. We are building and setting up now. If all goes well, we could spud the well late tonight or at some point tomorrow. We will let you know when we are drilling!
November 8, 2024
Partners,
We began clearing the area for our drill site this week and we are currently drilling the water well that will be the main source of water used during the actual drilling. We should have the rig arriving soon and will update you once we have confirmation!
October 30, 2024
Partners,
We wanted to welcome you to the API Anthem Joint Venture and give a quick update along with some housekeeping details.
This email serves as a test and also a welcome/introductory message. Be sure to add this address in your contacts to prevent it going to SPAM. Please keep in mind as we relay the information we receive from the field, the oil industry is extremely dynamic and timelines and schedules can change based on weather and also rig availability and jobs the rigs are on that may not be ours.
We have staked out the location and are anxious to get the project underway! (see attachment)
You should expect emails as we get information on the prep work and then updates are nearly every day or every other day during the drilling period. Once the physical work on a well is completed, update emails are only sent once a month. Take this time to ensure your email is set up and also on our Partner Portal on the website, you can find the same information that is sent via email. Let us know if your login information (included on your confirmation letter we mailed you) does not work and we will correct it ASAP.
